AppTimer is an odd little program that can measure how long your installed programs take to run when you open them. It can be a useful tool when you suspect that a program is slowing down but don't have a good way to measure it.

With AppTimer, you can see if your hypothesis is correct and get one step closer to finding a solution. AppTimer has many settings with which you can schedule repeated program executions at intervals down to the millisecond, or create an activity log that you can save and check when necessary, among other things.

The truth is that its usefulness depends on which program you're using it with. For example, you can use it to compare the startup speeds of different browsers or to see if the last extension you installed is slowing the browser down more than necessary. You can also check to see if your system performance varies based on which programs are running. There are many possibilities with AppTimer – all you have to do is know what you want to measure.

This tool has been used, the overall is still very good, but if there is a command line tool is even better, for example: appTimer.exe /silent
